You inspect the unit, photograph it on purpose, clean it, walk it if you can, and keep copies. If the deposit does not show up — or shows up short — you have letters you can fill in.

How you use it

Photograph the unit with the protocol (wide vs. detail, filename pattern).
Clean with the punch list. Photograph kitchen and baths again if you can.
Send the inspection letter if you want a joint walkthrough. Do not sign a blank form.
Look up your lease and your state’s rules. Write that date on the last page. This kit does not invent a number of days.
If nothing arrives, send the follow-up. If they keep money and you disagree, send the itemized-balance note. Keep copies.

Is this legal advice?

No. It is a communication and checklist kit. Every letter file says so. Rules vary by state and by lease. Check yours.

Will this get my whole deposit back?

No kit can promise that. This one helps you document the unit and follow up in writing. Ordinary wear, damage, cleaning, and timing are between you, the lease, and the law where you live.

Do you list my state’s deadline?

No. Deadlines are not the same everywhere, and this product will not invent a number. The kit tells you to look up your lease and state rules and write the date on the last page.

What format are the letters?

PDF for printing, Word (.docx) for typing, and .txt if you want to paste into email. Same words in each.

Do I need a printer?

No. A tablet works. The photo log is meant to live on a computer or in Google Sheets.

Can I use this for a house or a room rental?

Yes, if the rooms match. Skip pages that do not apply. The letters still need your correct names, addresses, and amounts.
